Cat toys that are free can't be fun. JUST KIDDING. Of course they are!

Noah is a true Bad Cat. He stole this plastic food skewer right off the table. He decided henceforth, that it was the most delightful toy he'd had all week. We was chasing it, playing fetch, and creating his own skewer murder game in the tub.

What it all boils down to is cat enrichment. Enrichment is so beneficial to a cat's mind and body. I've mastered my zoo keeper skills of enrichment and use them frequently at home. I introduce my cats to anything that will enhance their lives as long as it is safe. I present the cats with anything that I believe to be safe, i.e. not a choking hazard, or toxic, or an entanglement risk, etc. I then monitor the cats with anything new to make sure they are using it safely. You can take away a toy after monitored play time and introduce it again next time it can be supervised.
